We are looking for a Kantor (Church Musician) with a heart for music and an interest in choir leadership!

As a Kantor with us, you will become an important part of the parish's daily life. You will help create a sense of security and well-being for people during worship services, baptisms, weddings, and funerals.

You will be responsible for filling the parishes' churches with music, both in worship services and concert formats. You will have specific responsibility for the Multrå-Sånga parish and will also play at worship services and ceremonies in the other parishes within the pastorate.

We would like you to:

• Be a trained Kantor at least at C-level or have equivalent experience and wish to further your education. If so, we can make room for studies within the position.
• Have a special interest in the existing choir activities as well as organizing concerts, and wish to inspire and develop the joy of singing among children, youth, and adults.
• Teach organ students and, in consultation with relevant parties, be responsible for the maintenance of organs and other instruments.
• Wish to collaborate closely with priests, deacons, and parish educators, as well as other employees in parish life.
• Hold a B-class driver's license, have general computer literacy, and be a member of the Church of Sweden.

Sollefteå Pastorate consists of twelve parishes and covers, geographically, the same area as Sollefteå Municipality. The core activities of the Church of Sweden parishes are to celebrate worship, conduct education, diaconal work, and mission with the aim that people live in faith in Jesus Christ in Christian community. Sollefteå Pastorate also manages church buildings and other premises and is responsible for funeral services in the twelve parishes.
